London, Feb 2, (PRINTWORDS NEWS) Roger Federer has once again proved himself as the ‘king’ of the tennis world. He had played a splendid game in men’s final match of the Australian Open 2010 and shattered Andy Murray’s dream of winning the Grand Slam. Roger Federer, who has been in a marvelous form throughout the season had exhibited an outstanding performance against the best British player. Roger Federer’s game in the final did not leave an opportunity for the young British player, to fulfill the expectations of his fans. Britain had not received a Grand Slam title for more than seven decades and had high hopes on Andy Murray, who is now the number one tennis player of Britain.
As per the reports, the Scottish player, Andy Murray, who had received huge support from his native land was extremely emotional after the loss and had broken into tears. He begged for apology from his fans, who had lent him huge support and expected that he would bring the Grand Slam to Britain. The disheartened Scottish player said that he needed to play the best game of his life if he had to clinch victory against World No.1 Federer, who has been reigning the tennis world for last few years.
Playing against the champion player of a game is always tough for a player and it appeared that Andy Murray, who had been in quite a great form had lost the battle of nerves, when he met Roger Federer on the tennis court. The match reports indicate that Andy Murray had played some of the finest shots of the game against Roger Federer. It has been reported that his game consisted of chips, angles, spins and all well-crafted strokes that is required for defeating an opponent in tennis. The element that was lacking in his game was comfort and subtlety. He was playing the game consciously, which made his movements stiffs and he failed to display his natural game. His fans consider that he could have exhibited a better performance if he was little more confident.
Though fans have been disappointed for missing the Grand Slam title once again, they still support him and are confident that he is capable to defeat any other tennis players of the world.
