Irene Rosenfeld has been in the spotlight lately for a variety of reasons. Last year she was voted to be the second highest income earner among females in United States. Earlier this year her $19 billion takeover of Cadbury brought her in a clash with Warren Buffet. Warren Buffet, voted as the second richest man in the world by Forbes, is reported to have openly criticized the Cadbury deal. Warren Buffet sold a third of his 9.4% stake in the company, but it did not stop Irene Rosenfeld to go ahead as planned.The revenue of the company grew by 25.3 % as a result of the deal.

When asked how it felt to be voted as the second most powerful woman in the world, Irene Rosenfeld said that she does not think much about designations, she is more focused on ensuring that the business delivers but if there is a list, it is nice to be on it.

According to reports, the blaze broke out during the wee hours of Monday in the Four Mile Canyon northwest of Boulder. The fire spread rapidly across 3500 acres of land, invading the highly populated region. Although the blaze was a monstrous one and damaged several homes and forced immediate evacuation of the region, no casualties were reported. Several reports of narrow escapes surfaced but there hasn’t been any injuries to the resident, reports suggest. “I just drove through a wall of flames. The bumper is melted off in the front of the van,” said a resident after his confrontation with the blaze.

According to the fire fighters, more than thousand homes have been evacuated from the region. Although reports concerning how many homes were destroyed is yet to be revealed, teh fire fighters reported that four homes belonging to the fire fighters were destroyed by the monstrous blaze.

The cause of the fire break out is still in a shade of haze. The officials said that it is still too early to say how much of the fire has been contained. “It’s very rocky, hilly, mountainous terrain,” said Boulder County sheriff’s Cmdr. Rick Brough. Inside sources reveal that the evacuation of the homes took a little time to come into effect as the Boulder County alert system malfunctioned for about a couple of hours.

It is believed that it will take several days to contain the ongoing blaze.

The newly designed logo replaces the letter “O” with an orange ball. Google Doodles has created quite a fuss over the years with each of the doodles resembling some occasion or the other. With its customized logo, Google Doodle was first observed in August 1998, when the firm’s founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page designed one animated version of the logo to celebrate Burning Man Festival. In October 1999, after switching to its new logo, Google came up with a Halloween doodle. Since 2009, the Doodles have frequented the search engine page. The most recent doodle being the celebration of the 71st anniversary of the Judy Garland film The Wizard of Oz with a doodle of Dorothy, the Cowardly Lion, the Tin Man and the Scarecrow walking down the Yellow Brick Road towards a landscape with “Google” on it.

Leslie Van Houten on Tuesday apologized in front of the parole board by saying that she deeply regrets the act she had years back. In her statement she mentioned that she has grown insight into the crime that was committed and apologizes for the pains that she inflicted on the La Bianca family. She also gave a personal apology to the family. However, all that seemed to make hardly any impression on the family members that lost two of its members. One of the family members of the La Bianca family read a statement in which he mentioned that the family still suffers from the pain inflicted by the “Family” and Leslie Van Houten and that she should have been executed for the crime. He also added that she should not be released from the prison.

The new lawyer of Leslie Van Houten too failed to forward the case any further. The decision that was read out by Robert praised Leslie’s prison behavior but said that “She does not look at herself to see what made her capable of this activity”. Both maintained that Leslie is still in need of counseling.

According to reports, a meeting is lined up in the next 36 hours between Roy Hodgson and captain Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres.
