Baghdad Bomb Blast: Iraq Under Fire, Yet Again!

iraq bomb cp 7780047 Baghdad Bomb Blast: Iraq Under Fire, Yet Again!Bang, boom, wham! Within a few seconds hundreds of dead bodies draped in blood lying on the streets. This was the situation of the streets of Baghdad on Tuesday when a series of car bombings literary halted the capital of Iraq.

Sources reveal that as many as 127 people were killed and 448 others were injured in the series of blasts that rocked the entire city. No wonder Iraq has been under the scanner of violence for the past few years, precisely since the US invasion. Keeping the sources in mind, more or less three bombs went off consecutively within a span of few minutes. The first attack was led upon the Iraqi Labour Ministry followed by another explosion at a court complex. The third explosion occurred at the new site of the Iraqi Finance Ministry.

The Iraqi officials are pointing their fingers at Al-Qaeda, the banned terrorist group that has been active since quite a long time. It is believed that suicide bombers were deployed to carry out the mass destruction. Although reports are still misty enough to come to a definite conclusion, still there is no doubt that the operation was a well-planned one.

The recent blast is another eye pointer that showcases the mishandling of the Iraq issue on behalf of US and UK. The repeated failure of Bush and Blair administration over the Iraq issue has been constantly under the scrutiny. But that does not matter actually as the flaws that have cracked the bridge can never be mended unless other nations plunge in to stop the mass killing in the name of peace. There will be no trials for the actual guilt, neither there will be any kind of judgement made. The people who are suffering the endless trauma of the killing machine called “war”, have become numb. They have become so numb that they decline to speak over the immense suffering they are going through. But to much alas, whose listening? Neither Jesus nor the Allah’s principles were sufficient enough to curb this malignant hyper proactive disease of mass killing. Whether it is a war or attack on the civilized society in the name of “Jehad”, the consequences are as devastating as nothing else.

John Lennon once said “Give Peace A Chance”. But whose listening? The world we are living in right now is crippled with economic depression, war amongst nations, poverty, famine etc. Every now and then a jobless guy is deployed in the army. Every now and then a mother loses a child in the battlefield. Some wipe off battle-field deaths as “sacrifice for the nation”. Sacrifice? Sacrificing for what? Sacrificing for a nation that has already been baked and fried and cheesily eaten up by the politicians?

Today’s blast in Baghdad is just another example of innocent lives being pushed to the brink of the death. And this will be repeated again and again unless the government truly plays it part to cover up the loop holes that occurred during the Blair administration. The situation in Iraq is a disgrace to the world, a disgrace in the name of humanity. Mr.Blair listening?
