Jan. 02, London, (PRINTWORDS NEWS) Though people are living in the 21st century and have become modern in different aspects, there are some, who still consider homosexuality as a taboo topic. Criticisms against homosexuality earlier has made many people to keep their sexual orientations secret. However, these days, it appears that individuals with homosexual orientations are no longer afraid of the criticisms of the society. Many eminent people including politicians and film actors, without caring about the after effects, have freely accepted that they are gay. Jane Hill, a newsreader at BBC is one of them. The lady, who is known for her excellent news presentation and pleasing personality has recently declared that she is gay.
The lady, in an interview to Ariel has mentioned that she lives in North London with Sara, her female partner for one year. She also said that they have a pet dog named Mavis. The news has come as a surprise for many people, who were unaware of her sexual orientation. Though common men did not have any idea of her lesbian nature, her colleagues knew it earlier. In an interview to the media, one of her colleagues said that Jane Hill has never maintained secrecy about her sexual preferences. They knew that she had relations with girls and lives in with her partner.
The recent interview has revealed the fact that Jane Hill is gay. However, some sources claimed that the lady had earlier dated men. It has been reported that she had even dated Chris Hollins, the man who had won “Strictly Come Dancing”. The couple had ended their affair years back. Yet, they have not lost contact and still are good friends. Jane Hill has always been nice with her colleagues and have tried to co-operate with them in several cases.
Jane Hill had started her career at the tender age of 16 years and has a successful career record. Her first work was with the local radio of BBC. She graduated from the London University with her degree in politics while working on the radio show. The lady with high aspirations had completed the ‘regional news trainee scheme’ of BBC and started to work as a producer of the Five Live. After this, she switched from radio to television and gradually became a popular face among the people. 
Jane Hill has taken up several sensitive stories in her career. She had reported the stories of US President Barack Obama’s inauguration last year. In her career as a news anchor, she has reported some devastating stories of 9/11 attack and Hurricane Katrina. Yet, she considers that working on the Madeleine McCann story was the hardest job of her career so far. She stated that the news had affected her emotionally even though she does not have a child.
The lady who has been known for her news skills confessed that she prefers going to the gym and watching movies in theater. It has been reported that she is also fond of wine and food.
