A new Facebook page titled RIP Jackie Chan emerged today and was ‘liked’ by 50,000 people. A picture of the Rush Hour actor wearing a tux appeared on the page with the message R.I.P. Jackie Chan. There was another similar hoax about the actor’s death in March on Twitter that said he had died in a snowboarding accident in Switzerland. A spokesperson for Chan wrote on his Facebook page, “Jackie Chan is alive and well. He did not suffer a heart attack and die, as was reported on many social networking sites and in online news reports.” The statement also mentioned that the actor was preparing to film his next movie when the rumours were circulated. Playboy supremo Hugh Hefner and soul singer Etta James were also reported to have died in similar hoaxes in recent times.

Chan has finished shooting for his next film, 1911 (Xinhai Geming) that deals with the founding of the Republic of China after the Qing Dynasty was overthrown by the nationalist forces.

Facts have emerged after his death that may confirm the pressure of publicity from the show as one of the reasons for the suicide. Emmy Awards is said to be the top prize in the U. S. television industry. “Boardwalk Empire”, “Game Of Thrones” and three-time Emmy winner “Mad Men” will compete each other in the best drama category. “Friday Night Lights”, “The Good Wife” and “Dexter” will also challenge all in the same category. The nominations for the best comedy series are “Modern Family”, “Glee”, “30 Rock” and “The Office”. Along with these shows, two newcomers of televisions took away the cake of nominations. The two comedy shows are “Parks and Recreation” and “The Big Bang Theory”. Amy Poehler, the producer of “Parks and Recreation” seemed excited to get this honor. In his interview, he said that the cast and crew of the drama series had an interesting journey all through and hence he feels that getting nomination is a type of “validation” for them.

The nominations for the lead actor in a drama series were bagged by “Boardwalk Empire”s Steve Buscemi, Chandler for “Friday Night Lights”. The psychological thriller series “Dexter”s Michael C. Hall, Hugh Laurie for “House”, Timothy Olyphant for “Justified” and Jon Hamm for “Mad Men” are the other nominees for this award. The nominees for lead actress are Kathy Bates for the series “Harry’s Law”, Mariska Hargitay for “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”, Britton for “Friday Night Lights”, Elisabeth Moss for “Mad Men”, Julianna Margulies for “The Good Wife” and Mireille Enos for “The Killing”. What shocked the audience the most is “True Blood” as it did not receive any nomination this year.

However, “Mad Men” received whooping 19 nominations this year for its contribution in the television industry. Along with it “Modern Family” received 17 nominations. “Boardwalk Empire” is also not far behind. Eric is hell bent on wooing Sookie and tries to woo her in every way. Sookie is somewhat confused and he reaches Bill for help. She finds out that Bill has become the King of Louisiana. The audience are taken back in time (in a flashback) where they find that Bill met Nan Flanagan of the AVL and the later ordered him to execute Sophie-Anne Leclerq, the previous monarch of Louisiana. When Sookie asks for help, Bill denies her saying that he can do nothing to stop Eric. On the other hand, Tara comes to the town to pay Sookie a visit. However, Sookie goes to Fangtasia to get Pam’s advice regarding Eric. The story takes a sudden turn when Eric meets Marnie (a witch) and attacks her. During the fight, Marnie curses Eric to lose his memory. Eric fails to dissolve the witch coven of Marnie. The audience become shocked to hear that Marnie has decided to bring a dead man back to life with her powers.

Back in Bon Temps, Sookie meets Jessica and finds out that she is with someone else and not Hoyt! Sam gets close to a girl Luna, who is said to be a shape-shifter. The audience is now eagerly waiting for the next episode “If You Love Me, Why Am I Dyin’?” to unravel new mysteries and put an end to their suspense.
