Kelly was the leader of a band of bank robbers in Australia’s Victoria state in the 19th Century. He and his gang killed policemen and robbed banks till he was hanged in 1880 at age 25 and then no one knew anything about his body. Rumours said his body was in the mass grave at the Old Melbourne Gaol with the corpses of 33 others. The prison shut down in 1929 and it was decided that the bodies of executed inmates will be exhumed and moved to the Pentridge Prison. At the exhumation a mob of onlookers stole some remains, including what was believed to be Kelly’s skull, which was later discovered and displayed at the Old Melbourne Gaol that had turned into a historic site.

But the skull was stolen again in 1978 and on November 11, 2009, Baxter, a farmer from Western Australia handed over to the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine a skull with the inscription E.Kelly (Ned’s real name was Edward) without saying how he found the skull. Then through CT Scans and X-Rays, anthropological and historical data, and DNA analysis, a skeleton from the bunch at Pentridge was identified as Kelly’s but most of the head was still missing.

Kelly was known to be something like Robin Hood or Jesse James in folklore, as the man who fought British colonial officers and helped the rural Irishmen. His father was an Irish convict.

The British High Commissioner has reportedly left for the island to comfort Redmond’s bride, Gemma Houghton, 27, who was on the beach sunbathing when the whole incident happened. Witnesses said that Redmond had suffered severe injuries on his chest and limbs and one of his arms seems to have been severed in water. Jeanne Vargiolu, the owner of a restaurant on the beach also said that she had seen Ms. Houghton mention that she “still had hope” for her husband as he was brought back on the beach after the attack.

CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) surveyed the smoking habits of the recent US population and came to a result that the number of female smokers equal men these days.

The research also shows that recently the risk of bladder cancer has increased three times than people who never smoked. The risk of bladder cancer in women has gone up to 52 percent, whereas it is still 50 percent for men. Neal Freedman said that bladder cancer rates in United States have been stable in past 30 years in spite of the fact that the smoking rates have decreased with time. The health officials of United States reported that 69,250 people are likely to be diagnosed with bladder cancer in this year and 14,990 of them will die from the same.

The doctors found out a ratio of not smoking compared to smoking are 25 percent higher in case of a woman than a man. Moreover, the doctors said that the risk will increase two percent each year and it means that a woman who smokes for longer time has the greater risk of heart disease than a man who has smoked for the same time.

The doctors said that the main factor of such health risk in women is because of their smaller blood vessels and smaller body weight. In a joint statement, the doctors said, “For example, women might extract a greater quantity of carcinogens and other toxic agents from the same number of cigarettes than men… This occurrence could explain why women who smoke have double the risk of lung cancer compared with their male counterparts”. The two doctors, in their statement also added that they are worried more because these days the tobacco industry’s considers women as growth market and target them. The researchers said an estimated 15,600 women will die of lung cancer this year and the sole reason is adopting this lifestyle of smoking. Action on Smoking and Health (ASH), an anti-smoking group has echoed the same messages of British Heart Foundation. The research manager of ASH, Amanda Sandford told a reputed media outlet that it is already known that women have greater risk of lung cancer than men. However, she seemed concerned when she said that for the first time, even heart disease is likely to affect women smokers more than the men. Amanda Sandford also said that smoking has a majo5r implication on the health of the women and the government should take action against it. At the same time, she said, “The sale of designer “super slim” cigarettes is perpetuating myths such as smoking helps keep you slim and they have to go”.

The President of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), Dr Tony Falconer said that smoking leads to all the severe diseases in a woman’s body. He also added that smoking not only leads to lung cancer and heart disease in a woman but also it might result to premature birth, stillbirth and low-birth weight baby during her pregnancy. In the end, he said, “As doctors, we are especially concerned about the young, who are easily persuaded by advertising and peer pressure. We need to support and help women to lead healthier lives and this must include smoking cessation”.

Brent Jeffs, who is nephew of Warren Jeffs and testified in this case saying that his uncle raped him when he was only 5 year old. The jury even heard the audio tapes, which were recovered. In those tapes it was clearly heard that Jeffs was forcing the two underage girls to be intimate with him.

After the verdict was read, Eric Nichols said, “This is not the prosecution to persecute a people, this is a prosecution to protect a people”. Principle Voices, a polygamist advocacy group’s spokesperson, Anne Wilde also supported the verdict. In her interview, she said, “I feel like justice has been done. I don’t feel like he should be out in society. Even among his own group. I think he has a tendency to be a paedophile. And with that weakness, who is to say he won’t repeat these crimes”.

Atlanta, Aug 9, (PRINTWORDS NEWS) FBI said on Saturday that the law enforcement officials are searching frantically for three siblings for the bank robbery (armed) in Georgia. The three siblings are also suspects of an attempted murder of a bank officer in Florida. Stephen Emmett, the special agent of Florida said that he would not compare the suspects to Bonny and Clyde but it is true that the three siblings, 21-year-old Ryan Edward Dougherty, 26-year-old Dylan Dougherty Stanley and 29-year-old Lee Grace Dougherty are demonstrating their threat to both public and law.

Stephen Emmett, who is also a spokesperson of FBI’s Atlants office said in one of his interviews, “It’s not very often that we have advance warning like this of potential problems with law enforcement encountering individuals. They made it very clear that they are going to be a problem”. He also added that police is posting hundreds of photographs of these three prime suspects through digital boards from Florida to Kentucky to aware people about their presence. In a new released video it was seen that the Dougherty siblings can even use high powered weapons. They are are in run since August 2, when they allegedly shot a police officer and then robbed a bank in Georgia. Chris Nocco, the Sheriff of Pasco country, said that the police know that Ryan Edward Dougherty purchased an AK-47 many years ago. He also added that the law enforcement officials have the information that Ryan’s brother Dylan also bought many handguns and high-caliber rifles.

“We want to reiterate to the Dougherty family, we want you to turn yourselves in, we want a peaceful resolution, but at the same time we understand if they want to battle with us, we have the resources and we will win”, Chris Nocco said. He also warned the citizens that the Dougherty siblings are dangerous as they do not have any fear of shooting anybody.

Copley Police Department released a statement, where they mentioned that the shooting began when the gunman shot his own girlfriend. Then it continued as he ran to the adjacent house and shot five more people. However, the gunman did not stop but chased other people and shot another. The news release stated, “The shooter then went to another home … where two other persons he had chased sought refuge. He entered the home, shot one victim and exited the home”. During that time, a former officer and Copley police officer encountered the gunman. After much exchange of gunfire, the police officials shot and killed the man. On the other hand, the law enforcement officials said that the wounded victim was hospitalized right after the attack but his condition is yet uncertain.

Summit County Medical Examiner‘s Office reported that the identities of the victims and the gunman are yet to be known. The residents of Copley area have held a candlelight vigil on Sunday evening, in the memory of the victims and pay their tribute to them. Copley Police Chief Michael Mier told a reputed media outlet that their present task is quite complicated right at this point of time as the police will have to go to four scenes, to process the investigation. He also added, “Fortunately, we have a lot of help. The crime scene is being treated like any other — it’s a little unusual in that it is so large and involves multiple locations”.

Warren Jeffs earned realms of newsprint, when police raided his compound in Texas in 2008 and took away around 450 children. He was accused of sexually and physically abusing and assaulting those children. On the other hand, the polygamist leader previously said that he forced two teenage girls for “spiritual marriage” because he was dictated by God. Warren Jeffs also said to have fathered a child when one of the girls were 15 year old. Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott said, “If someone comes to Texas and assaults a 12-year-old and a 15-year-old, they’re going to be put behind bars”. The jury heard the audio recording of Warren Jeffs, raping the 12 year old girl and the prosecutors also brought forward the DNA’s to show that he even fathered a child. Warren Jeffs spoke in his own defense and said that he has been made the victim of religious prosecution.

Eric Nichols, the lead prosecutor said in his closing arguments, “This case is about one individual, Warren Steed Jeffs, and his actions and what he himself has done”. The eyewitnesses were somewhat surprised to see Warren Jeffs’ reaction. After the verdict was read, he said, “I am at peace”. Before speaking these lines, he turned to the jurors and gave them half a smile. Later, outside the court, Warren Jeffs’ sister Elaine Jeffs seemed surprised, when she said that her brother did not say a single word in defense of the assault charges he faced.

This violence came was a bolt from the blue after two blasts were reported in Kashgar. Moreover, in a knife attack, eight people were also killed in ancient Silk Road city. Uighur exiles from the same region said that near about 100 people were arrested and the same time, near about 100 people were arrested because of the unrest in the city. On the other hand, 19 people have been killed in this weekend in Kashgar and China blamed the members of Uighur community, who trains Islamic groups in the border of Pakistan. The local government of China reported on Monday that a bomb exploded at a restaurant in downtown on Sunday afternoon. Kashgar’s local government website stated that when police and firefighters rushed to the crime scene, they saw five suspects rushing out of the place and stabbing civilians randomly.

“According to the confession of one of the suspects, this group’s leader sneaked across the border into Pakistan and received training of making guns and explosives from the Eastern Turkistan Islamic Movement”, the website read. Local government officials reported that the members of the community have “extreme religious beliefs” and they have sworn to continue a “holy war” against the people of the nation. These members, reportedly, have planned to carry out ruthless attacks and made explosives as well. World Uyghur Congress’ spokesperson, Dilxat Raxit, criticized China’s claims and said that the main causes of such attacks are nothing but a reply of “current repressive Chinese rule”.
