source of inspiration for several actors of the present generation. The news about a recently discovered film of Chaplin is creating a lot of fuss in the showbiz world. It is great news for the entertainment world and people are excited to watch the newly discovered film of the
legend. “Charlie Chaplin in Zepped”, the Chaplin film which has been
discovered recently has multiple footages of Zeppelins which moves
through different places of England at the time of the World War I.
The movie is yet another Chaplin’s sarcastic take on war issues, an aspect that the actor had opposed and protested all throughout his life via his epic flicks.
As per the reports, an antique collector, Morace Park has discovered the Chaplin movie from an old film container which he had purchased from the ebay by spending only a sum of 3.20 pounds. He never knew that he would find a film which would have “stop-motion animation” that started during the
Chaplin era and made such a buzz in the showbiz world. According to the sources, Mr. Park had purchased the old tin as he was impressed with its look. He did not have much interest on the contents of the film tin and left it unchecked after it got delivered to his house. However, after opening the container he found a Charlie Chaplin movie of which he had never heard earlier. The Charlie Chaplin movie was reportedly shot on a nitrate film of 35mm and is considered to be the earliest propaganda made during the World War I to reduce people’s trauma regarding Germany’s bombing raids from airships during 1915.
Mr. Park, who had no clue about the film, was inquisitive enough about the availability of the movie. He readily brushed through the net to gather information about the movie but failed. The movie had surpassed the public glare and he realized that he was the first one to unveil the yet-to-be-explored Chaplin flick. Sources stated that the estimated price for the movie tape could be up to a whopping 40,000 pounds.
As he did not have any idea about the Chaplin movie in the old film container, he decided to take the help of a person who had some
knowledge of old films and called John Dyer [Mr.Park’s neighbor. Mr. Dyer was attached with British Board of Film Classification and acted as education department’s head. Surprisingly, Mr. Dyer too had no idea about the Chaplin flick and wondered why the Chaplin experts or film historians did not have any information about this film. After making several efforts to find more information on the film he also concluded that no one has seen the movie ever. They decided to inform the media about their discovery so that every
Chaplin fans come to know about the film.
The news of discovering Charlie Chaplin’s yet to be discovered movie spread like a wildfire and created buzz in the entertainment arena. Hammad Khan a filmmaker after learning the entire event decided to make a documentary on the search made by Mr. Park and Mr. Dyer. Sources stated that Mr.Khan has requested Mr. Park and Mr. Dyer to visit Los Angeles with him for filming the documentary.
According to the reports of the sources, the newly discovered film, “Charlie Chaplin in Zepped” might have been shot for filming in an Egyptian exhibition, which at that time was one of the British protectorates. British authorities had used several techniques to reduce the fear of war and Charlie Chaplin has provided a great help. Though Charlie Chaplin was not selected in the Army for being underweight and had short height, he has helped the Army by filming several acts to reduce fear of war among common men of Great Britain and other colonies of Britain.
The legendary actor, Charlie Chaplin has always been remembered by people for his silent films. He was named among the earliest mega stars of Hollywood and in the year 1929 was the recipient of honorary Oscar Award. He was bestowed with this honor for his performance in ‘The Circus’. In the year 1972, he received award for Best Music In An Original Dramatic Score. After this in 1975, he had received the honor of Knight, which was deferred from 1931 as he did not take active part in the war efforts of the country. Chaplin was a genius and had done some incredible works in his career. He died in 1977 yet he reigns on the heart of his fans even after several decades. The hype related to the recently discovered Chaplin movie once again proves this fact.
