London, Jan 3 (PRINTWORDS NEWS) -
It seems that Elton John wants to bury hatchets with the stars he had a problem with earlier. He battled with drug overdose problems in his personal life and now he is offering a helping hand to the celebrities who want to get rid of the evil effects of narcotic and other forms of addictions. Recently the veteran songwriter and singer talked about the support he is offering to American hip hop sensation Eminem so that the latter can say goodbye to drug addiction.
The singer spoke on Radio 5 Live show and said that it is possible to offer aid to anyone suffering from drug overdose only when he is mentally ready to kick the habit. He said tat the for the last one year and a half he has been offering his support to Eminem and the latter is improving. He recalled his own days of struggle in this context.Eminem has his share of problems with prescription drugs and went overboard with a methadone overdose earlier.
Interestingly Eminem ruffled John Elton when he made some hostile words regarding homosexuality in 2001 Grammy Awards. Elton was there too and he did not take the words in a good humor. Elton John entered into a same sex civil partnership with his partner David Furnish in 2005 and he has no qualms about talking about his sexual orientation. However, both the artists want to put an end to the cold war. Eminem recently admitted that he thought of Elton as he also went through the same problem and as an artist he can relate to the problems celebrities have to put up with, in their career and life. Elton also said he is always ready to offer help to the interested people in the industry. He also offered his assistance to Iron Man actor Robert Downey, Jr.
