London, Dec. 08-
Football lovers all over the world by now must have taken a look on the FIFA World Cup Schedule 2010 that has been declared a couple of days earlier. They have also become familiar with the group divisions for the preliminary matches of the World Cup 2010 and many England fans are happy as they consider their team will not have to face tough competitors in the group matches. England is in Group-C and will have to compete with USA, Algeria and Slovenia to qualify from the group matches to ‘Round Of 16′ of FIFA World Cup that would be played in South Africa.
England fans have high hopes of seeing their team to play the quarter final matches of the 13th FIFA World Cup as Slovenia and Algeria players do not have much experience of playing World Cup matches. Though many people consider these two teams are as the underdogs in this group, their talent should not be underestimated. As they had not received much chances to appear in the World Cup games, their players would try to make their mark in the South African soil and may pose tough challenge to England players. England though have high chances of becoming successful against the comparatively weak opponents, they should be prepared to face the attack of the United States team. USA team had never won the FIFA World Cup title yet played some praiseworthy games in earlier World Cup. England earlier had faced strong opposition from the US team and so they should plan effective strategies to defeat them in the group matches and also to strengthen their position in the ‘Round Of 16′.
Though football is a team game and every player needs to perform their best for winning a game, huge expectations of England’s followers would be bestowed on striker Wayne Rooney and midfielder Frank Lampard. Both of them are in good form and are expected to sharpen their skills to get their team qualify at every stage of the game. The team which is in a comparatively easy group should be prepared for strong challenges once they qualify for the ‘Round of 16′ and quarter final matches.
As England is in a comparatively easy group, if they play little tactfully then they would be able to win the FIFA World Cup after 1966. Though in the earlier World Cup matches, the team had some exceptionally talented players, they did not become successful in winning the World Cup. Fans are optimistic that the team would fare well in the coming FIFA World Cup 2010 and claim the title after four decades.
Not only England but also the supporters of the other teams are similarly optimistic about their favorite team’s performance in the World Cup matches. South Africa, which is hosting the FIFA World Cup for the first time has already started to feel the craze of the football lovers all over the world. It is expected that the host nation would make the necessary arrangements for the World Cup matches that would begin from June 11, 2010 and continue for one month till final match in Johannesburg on July 11, 2010.
