June 12 (PRINTWORDS NEWS)440x330 f80exr angle Fujifilm FinePix F80EXR: Compact Superzoom With Feature Overload The new Fujifilm FinePix F80EXR is not like any other compact superzoom you can find in the market these days. The camera is unique and it is not only because of its EXR sensor. With a decent build quality and loads of feature a price tag of £170 is quite pleasing is not it? The 12 MP camera with 10x zoom is ideal for beginners to the intermediate users. The features in this camera are sure to bring a smile on the face of even the most demanding geeks. The camera has 720p HD movie mode but the nice addition is that you can use the zoom and autofocus in the mode. A number of rival models do not allow this.

For those who want to fine tune with settings there are manual mode and aperture priority. The USP of this camera is obviously the EXR sensor that works really well in low light situations. It also reduces the noise in high ISO images. However, the resolution drops to only 6 MP in those modes. It has an advanced face detection system. Funny as it may sound the camera also has a pet detection system. The camera allows you to keep objects on the foreground sharp while blurring the background. The pro low light mode yields good results in poorly lit scenes.

Overall the Fujifilm FinePix F80EXR is a good midrange camera that performs reasonably well. Its only drawback is overabundance of options that can make the new and novice users confused.
