JUNE 30 (PRINTWORDS NEWS)
If you have bought a latest LG or Samsung LED HDTV there is good news in store for you. Your TV needs to have web connectivity though. If it does, then head straight to the Hulu site where the new Hulu Plus service is waiting for you. It is currently available for just $10 a month. As of now Full HD streaming is not offered, all you get is 720p HD. However, you are wrong if you think you need to have latest HDTV to get the service. The service supports a wide range of laptops and handsets. The owners of Apple iPad and iPhone can also get this service. You can visit the Hulu site for the details. As of now the service is being offered in a limited format. In this service you will shortly get content from a number of popular networks like Fox, ABC as well as NBC which is part owner of the service.
The iPad and iPhone owners can access the Hulu Plus service either by means of Wi Fi or 3G. Of course you will get the better performance through 3G network. If you won a PS3 you may have to wait for a few more weeks or months before support is declared for this console. Even the Xbox 36 owners will get access to it in 2011 as Hulu has declared.
Hulu Plus is an interesting service for the HDTV owners and Web TV service proponents. However, there are rival services like Netflix. It remains to be seen whether Hulu Plus can survive the competition or not.
