LONDON, FEB 9 (PRINTWORDS NEWS): The loss of team England’s captaincy along with the sex scandals that were at the verge of destroying his football career, John Terry seems to an iron man who has not let his prowess in the game suffer. Back to play for the team, though not as a captain any more, he showed the zeal of a true sportsman on field. With his brilliant defence and attack he led his team towards victory. His assitance to Didier Drogba’s goal was a turning point in the game.
The Chelsea Manager Carlo Ancelotti has said that in Terry he has found a “perfect captain” for his team. He also stressed that Terry has a strong mentality and that he is playing a great game. The manager also said that he is ready to provide John with a holiday if he wants some time to spend with his wife Toni.
The dressing room too speaks of the same support for their loved teammate. For players now ,this is a tough week and all they need now according to them is to be together and win. Even rival team members are a little sympathetic towards the English captain. They too respect Terry as a great footballer and think he will be able to keep his personal and professional life separate.
What then remains for us to see is whether John Terry goes on playing like before as he did in the last match, or will the star Terry gets lost in midst of scandals and humiliations? Lets hope for the best, that he never repeats his mistake and that we get to see more of him in the years to come.
