There is no doubt that Toyota motors is still in trouble over its massive recall fiasco. The sakes have not been exactly encouraging for the company and it is trying hard to restore its tarnish image. However, things are totally different at Lexus, which is the luxury car segment of Toyota. Not only the Lexus cars are selling well, the brand recently got the top spot in car owner satisfaction survey conducted in the UK. Lexus has emerged as the top car in the survey pushing aside heavyweights like Honda, Ford and Jaguar. It got a score of 846 in 1000 in the aforesaid survey. In fact this survey was conducted by entities like What Car? and JD Power and Associates. What’s more, Lexus got the award for the top spot for 10 years at a stretch. Now that is a big achievement, is not it?
Toyota was sitting way down at the 5th spot in the survey but that is only too natural considering what fiasco the company is going through. Lexus did exceptionally well in areas like vehicle quality and reliability, service satisfaction and vehicle appeal. It raced ahead of Japanese rival Honda Motors which scored 825. The third spot went to Jaguar. This survey was conducted online and approximately 17000 car owners in the UK were covered by it.
Last month Toyota sales grew by 3.6 percent which is minuscule. However, Lexus surged ahead with a massive 31.3 sales growth. The UK car owners still believe in its brand name and quality as is evident.
