
Chicago, July 1, (PRINTWORDS NEWS) Matthew Leone, the bassist of the alternative rock band Medina Lake has been hospitalized after he intervened in a domestic dispute. The popular musician received severe injuries while he attempted to stop a man who was beating his wife in an incident that took place few days back. Nathan Leone, his twin brother and the band’s singer confirmed the news through the band’s blog on Wednesday.
While revealing details of the incident, Nathan Leone stated that his brother was on his way to meet a friend near his apartment in Chicago when he came across a man mercilessly assaulting his wife. Despite the fact that the man was almost double his size, Matthew supposedly did not think twice before intervening in the matter and was successful in subduing the guy. However, the man attacked him from behind and beat him up brutally before leaving him to die on the street. In the blog, Nathan further added that the Medina Lake bassist has been admitted to a medical facility where the doctors have removed a part of his skull while they wait for the swelling in his brain to decrease. The band’s singer stated that he was not in a position to divulge additional information about Matthew while adding that his brother was paying the price of acting like a hero.
The news of Matthew Leone fighting for his life has sent shock waves among all his fans who are hoping for the speedy recovery of the their much loved musical artist. The band Medina Lake came into being in 2005 and gradually reached heights of success with their splendid music.
