Is Mike Brown Really Fired?

May15 (PRINTWORDS NEWS) cavscoachmikebrown2 Is Mike Brown Really Fired? The firing of Cleveland Cavalier coach Mike Brown still remains a mystery for the fans as team owner Dan Gilbert has denied reports of firing him and yet hinted at plans of replacing him. Brown’s firing comes as bit of a surprise considering he was awarded the NBA coach of the year and led his team to the best regular season record this year. Owner Dan Gilbert has also revealed in the press conference today that the position of the team’s coach is still under speculation and will undergo proper evaluation before any decision. The rumors of Lebron James heading to New York Knicks are also reportedly based on speculation.

The Cleveland Cavaliers finished number 1 on their conference and had more than 60 wins in the regular season. The Celtics though eliminated them before they could make it to the conference championship series. It has become apparent that the current Cleveland Cavaliers team is not good enough for playoff basketball.

Mike Brown’s record with Cleveland boasted 238-138 in five seasons. Rumours are afloat about  Kentucky’s John Calipari as Brown’s replacement as he has the same agent as Lebron James and he also shared good relations with King. Though team owner Dan Gilbert has said that the ‘Sports Illustrated’ magazines reports are untrue, Mike Brown’s firing is but inevitable.  Mike Brown drew criticism after the Cleveland Cavaliers failed to return the championship round in spite of having the best record in the league season. Mike Brown’s management of the players and the inability to win rotations came under heavy fire which might be attributed to his dismissal.
