JULY 10, (PRINTWORDS NEWS)- The Fifa World Cup finals is all set to be a very special affair both on and off the ground. As Spain and Netherlands sweat it out for the champions trophy, the VIP stands too shall be the center of attraction. Johannesburg shall witness both “real” and “reel” Mandela visiting the World Cup finals. That’s right both Nelson Mandela as well as American actor Morgan Freeman who had essayed the role of Mandela on the silver screen is said to be present at the VIP stands.
Besides Nelson Mandela 15other African heads of state, including the Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe and the Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki shall join President Jacob Zuma at the closing ceremony of the Fifa World Cup. Morgan Freeman who pulled out an Oscar nominee for his portrayal of former president Nelson Mandela in the movie “Invictus” shall be flying to South Africa to watch the finals. However, some of the close sources of the former President told the media that the 91 year old President might not make it to the finals owing to his health. Joseph Blatter who happens to be the president of world football body FIFA said that he really hope that the greatest statesman of the country is able to make it to the finals of the event.
