BOSTON, Feb 3, (PRINTWORDS NEWS)- It has been announced, after an initial appraisal, that Paul Pierce’s injury might not be as serious as it was being expected in the beginning. Paul Pierce had injured his left foot on Monday, in the first quarter of the game against the Wizards. After being injured, he was not able to play during the whole of the fourth quarter, but returned to the field after being attended to with some primary checkup and first aid. Thankfully, however, the following examinations proved that he had suffered from no more than a mild strain in the middle of his left foot, much to the relief of his team, who had feared that he might have broken a foot.
The Paul Pierce injury updates have been made public after an additional examination of the injured foot was conducted on Tuesday. An MRI was performed on him, following which, the possibility of a fracture was ruled out. After the MRI, Paul Pierce was again examined by the medical staff of the team. All the tests came to the same conclusion, that the injury was not serious, and that Paul Pierce had not broken a foot.
It was initially being considered, before the Paul Pierce injury updates had been made public, that Paul Pierce might have broken a foot. The General Manager of the Boston Celtics, Danny Ainge, commented that he had been worried about the condition of the player after he saw the injury, and also how sore the injured foot looked on Monday. It was being considered that the Boston Celtics would have to do without the player for a few weeks if Paul Pierce had broken a foot.
