James Cameron’s “Avatar”has been a phenomenal hit but that’s not all about it. As the film awaits the DVD release we have a good behind the camera story to pass it on. Stephen Lang who essayed the role of Colonel Miles Quaritch in the iconic movie actually had a crazy audition when he was called for by the director. Reportedly, Stephen Lang bagged his role in the big budget movie after he went ahead to land a massive punch right into the head of a man while he was auditioning for his role in the movie.
When asked about it the American actor said that while he was preparing on the sets of Avatar to get into the mood for his role of Colonel Miles Quaritch, he managed to attack a fellow actor who was present there right by his side. Stephen Lang told the media that he had auditioned long before for James Cameron for the movie “Aliens ‘but regrettably he never managed to get the role that he auditioned for. And so it was evident that the actor wanted to something real that would inspire the director to cast him in the movie which did became one of the greatest movies of all time in Hollywood.
Stephen Lang said wittily that every young aspiring actor should follow his steps if they want to make it big here in Hollywood. Oh of course he didn’t mention how big your punch is going to be if you want your audition to be successful!
