The three contestants took the stage on Tuesday night to go for the first round of dance. The contestants had to perform Argentine tango, and few will disagree to the judges that it was a tough call to make a decision. Judge Len Goodman said that judging the three tango performances was the “hardest job we’ve ever had”. Each seemed to be excelling the other in their act and yet each was unique in their own performance. However there is no denying the fact that Nicole Scherzinger’s coordination with her dance partner was the best. Her tango was full of energy and the judges could not help but endow them with the perfect 30. Evan Lysacek and Anna Trebunskaya’s tango got 28 while Erin and Maksim got 26. Though Erin had come up with flying colors on Monday night, she could not last long and got eliminated.

Erin Andrews’ elimination was expected and as the decision was announced the sportscaster did not seem perturbed. She went on to say that she had always wanted Nicole and Evan to compete for the final crown. However, what she added is worth mentioning. She said that she had entered the show at a time when she was not enjoying the right kind of limelight (Erin’s nude peephole videos were released on net). She said that she had come to the show with an intention to gather herself and also to bring the lost smile back to her face. And we hope that her beautiful smile will accompany her for the rest of her life.

The final two then went for the second round of dancing and it made the winner clear. Evan’s last dance at the show did not seem much impressive. Combined with the viewer’s vote Nicole was declared the winner of “Dancing with the Stars” season 10. Though I guess that Nicole knew that she has made her way to the trophy her first look after the declaration of the result was that of a surprise. She then went on to blow kisses to her contender Evan and Anna.

Apart from the performances of the top three contestants, the “Dancing with the Stars” finale also turned out to be a star studded affair as all the previous contestants of “Dancing with the Stars” season 10 returned to the stage. Though some performances were not up to the mark and reminded one of some of the disasters of this season, the feel of nostalgia that surrounded the performances was enough to keep the viewers glued to their television sets.

Few will disagree to the fact that it turned out to be one of the most performance packed result episode of the show till date. While Sarah McLachlan went to sing a medley of her own songs, Joey Fatone and Melissa Rycroft who have previously remained the constants in the show took to the stage again for a tango and that too interestingly in a costume that was reportedly chosen by the public!  And if it was not enough, Miley Cyrus got into action wearing a leotard and thigh-high boots and performed “Can’t Be Tamed”.

Coming to the elimination, Erin Andrews was not wrong when she mentioned to a media source before her Monday night performance that the real competition was between her and Chad and that she expected Evan and Nicole to make it to the finals. She was right. The contestant to leave the show was Chad. Though there is no doubt that being a football player and having no experience as such in dancing, Chad went on to do a decent job on the ball room from the beginning and had also improved his dancing skill during his tenure in the show, there is no denying the fact that at the semifinals he was the weakest contestant left. Leaving apart Evan and Nicole, even Erin did a better job than Chad on the semifinal dance performances. While Evan and Nicole had managed 59 out of the total 60 on Monday night, Chad could only 52.

On Tuesday, the host of the show did not dally with the results and with few minutes into the show, Evan was declared safe. The next to follow him was none other than Nicole and at the bottom two were Erin and Chad. It seemed that the stars were on Erin’s favor and thus she moved to the last three while Chad bid the farewell.

However, unlike many of the formers contestant in the show, Chad did not go for a teary exit and said that he would like to return to the show next year as a professional dancer. That’s called the Sportsman spirit Chad! Chad went on to say “I’ve enjoyed the journey, I got some great criticism that only made me stronger. In my eyes, I’ve already won… I’ll be here as a professional next year”. Getting emotional? You need not to be because that’s the part of the whole show! And the show still has the finale to go! So keep your fingers crossed for your favorite.

On Monday night, the couples had to perform two dances on the ballroom. Niecy and her partner took the floor to perform Viennese waltz and paso double and tried to impress the judges to the fullest. However like the past episodes this time as well their attempt failed to make any great impact on the judges. Though Judge Bruno Tonioli praised the couple’s take on the waltz, for the paso double he had in store not so good comments. He said that Niecy Nash looked unsteady and marked the dance as not “very good”. The couple was endowed with 43 marks out of the total 60 for their attempt which was the least in the Monday night show.

To join the couple in the bottom two on Tuesday’s night was NFL star Chad Ochocinco and partner Cheryl Burke. However, it seems that Chad Ochocinco and Cheryl Burke had managed more fan base than Niecy Nash. After the result was declared, Niecy Nash said “I am a 40-year-old mother of three. I’ve got three C-sections under my belt…I was able to survive in this competition this long against some fantastic people — and with the fact that I cannot hula-hoop with a Cheerio.” She also thanked her partner for “molding this lump of clay into something”. That was a good gesture on her part as for the audience it seems that they are becoming more serious with the dancing part in the show.
