(PRINTWORDS NEWS)- Sony has recently updated its popular Cyber Shot range and the new Cyber-shot DSC-T110 is a 16 MP shooter belonging to the revamped range. It is sleek, smart and offers sophisticated Touch screen controls. Needless to say HD recording capability is there in this small model.
The T line-up of Sony Cyber Shot is known for their aesthetics and coolness. The Sony Cyber Shot DSC-T110 lives up to that image. It is available in a number of bright hues. Its rectangular smooth body appears very aerodynamic with flat surfaces and curved edges. There are a number of physical hardware buttons but they do not protrude out of the shell.
The majority of the rear of the camera is taken up by the touch-screen LCD, Sony calls this the Infinity display. It offers a 4x optical zoom which is standard in entry level digital cameras. Sony has done a great job with the Touch Screen and it is very intuitive to use. The description of the features makes it easier to operate for the newbies. If you are not too comfortable operating Touch screen controls worry not. In Auto mode you will hardly need to use it.
As far as operation speed is concerned it is no slouch but then you get faster cameras in this price range. Even the Kodak EasyShare M580 is faster. In image quality the model leaves almost no room for grudges. It also fares far better than its rivals in low light shooting. As a video shooter the T110 can equal any pocket camcorder.
The nice thing is that you can use the Optical zoom when recording video. It can record 720p HD movies and the quality is nice for an entry level camera. The only major drawback of the camera is connectivity. It neither offers HDMI out nor does it have miniUSB port. Its proprietary port may make geeks disappointed. It however supports both Memory Stick Duo and SDHC formats.
