(PRINTWORDS NEWS)- Post the massive Japan tsunami and quake the affected areas in Japan resemble wastelands replete with debris and mud, much in tune with the Hollywood apocalypse movies. The north-eastern coast of the Asian country has been severely affected by the natural calamity and the after effect is going to be grave say the analysts.
Minamisanriku a port town got almost erased off the map of Japan and after the water receded only a few buildings were left. The Kamaishi city residents were luckier as they could hear the tsunami evacuation sirens and ran to safer places before the calamity struck.
The spectators were stunned to see the raw power of the tsunami. The raging sea water tossed cars as if they were toys. After the devastation was done cars were seen littered on roads and various places in the coastal cities of Japan.
A lot of people recounted the horror stories of seeing their loved ones being dragged away by the water and their helplessness against the power of nature. The hospital authorities in several tsunami hit cities in Japan are scrambling to attend to the patients and transportation is turning out to be a trouble for the relief.
Scarcity of food has also hit the hospitals hard. Naoto Kan the PM of Japan has called the natural calamity as an “unprecedented national disaster”. The rescue operation is going on in full swing but it is expected that the casualty will be more than what was initially expected. The devastated cities and places wear a desolate look.
