(PRINTWORDS NEWS) Honolulu Hills Raceway in Taft in the Golden State of California, witnessed the death of one of the most highly rated and popular motor cycle racer, Nathan Woods. Reportedly, he was practicing for the World Off-Road Championship Series (WORCS), whose opening round was scheduled for the next day. The unfortunate bike accident took place shortly after 2:00 p.m. Nathan Woods, 32, is survived by his two little sons, Nate and Braxton and wife Amanda.
The unpredictable mishap occured while Nathan Woods was performing a tabletop jump and fell down from his bike all of a sudden. He had to be airlifted before getting him admitted to the hospital, where he was announced dead by the doctors. History says, that this is the first fatal accident that took place in the history of Honolulu Hills, that is famous for bike racing.
The news of his death was announced by WORCS via its website. It stated that today off-road Racing lost one of its greatest Champions. The organization offered their heart felt condolence to his family. They announced the news about five hours after the incident, although no official conformation has yet come from the Kern County Coroner’s Office.
Initial reports said that he expired due to severe head injury. However, later it was clarified that he succumbed to heavy internal injuries, and left his last breathe. According to the reports, Nathan woods was one of the most competent riders in WORCS’ history. He won the Glen Helen 24-hour race four times, and has been an ISDE Gold Medalist.
