(PRINTWORDS NEWS) The fans of former World No. 1 golfer Tiger Woods must be disappointed to know that he does not plan to return to the field unless he is completely healthy. The ace golfer injured his Achilles tendon and left knee in the third round of the Masters this April. In one of his recent interviews last Tuesday, Tiger Woods said that he is not sure if he would be able to be a part of the British Open in two weeks as he does not know when he will recover from his injury.
The ace golfer also said that he will not play at the $6.2 million US PGA National on Thursday. When asked about his reaction, Tiger Woods said that he is “disappointed” as he would not play this time. He said, “I want to be out there playing but it’s not quite ready yet. It’s progressing”. The highest-paid athlete admitted that he has learned a lesson and called it as “borderline call”. He told that his return to the Players has aggravated his injuries all the more. He seemed optimistic when he said, “I will come back when I’m 100 percent. I don’t know when that will be”.
Tiger Woods said that he is confident about his future and he is excited about it. However, he said he is still unsure if he will be able to play at the British Open at Royal St. George in July 14. The ace golf admitted that he is recuperating. At the same time he said, “I’ve been very goal oriented about what my recovery schedule should be.
I don’t want to do that again. I’m being smarter this time”. As far as his golf career is concerned, the golfer said that he believes that his best years are yet to come.
