(PRINTWORDS NEWS) The 2011 NFL playoff schedule has come out with lots of expectation. The Wild Card weekend of this season will start from 8th January, the next Saturday. The first week of the playoffs will host NFC West champion Seattle Seahawks against New Orleans Saints in the NFC division. On the other division, AFC, New York Jets will host Indianapolis on the same day.
The match between Seattle Seahawks and New Orleans Saints will eventually showcase the best NFC defense competing against the best NFC offense.The Seattle Seahawks beat St. Louis Rams to get the NFC West title with a record of 7-9 on Sunday night. In fact, Seattle Seahawks is the only team to reach the NFL playoffs with a losing record in the season. The Indianapolis Colts and Green Bay Packers got the wins they needed for playoff spots. These three teams made the spots in the play offs after their
respective wins. The only bad news is that New York Giants and Tampa Bay Buccaneers can not enter into the next zone, though they have ended their season with triumph.
Atlanta Falcons and Pittsburgh Steelers are the most secure teams in the playoffs. The Falcons beat the Carolina Panthers 31-10 to clinch the top seed in the NFC playoffs, and the Steelers knocked off Cleveland Brown 41-9 to secure the AFC’s second seed.
Atlanta Falcons also got the NFC South title. “That was really a good win for our organization. We still have a lot of work left,” Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan said after the game while adding “But we’re excited to be playing at home.” The winner from the NFC Wild Card match between the Seahawks and the New Orleans Saints will head to Atlanta to play against the Falcons for their Divisional Playoff game.
